I received it today and it is absolutely beautiful, both in color and quality. It appears as very soft short fur, has a nice weight to it, plus it is larger than most throws, and is very warm. I think I will try washing it on the hand wash cycle and air drying it. When it goes on sale again I will buy a couple of the other colors. It really is luxurious!

I'm very happy with this throw, which I purchased on a Friday Sale in the cream color. It's a lovely muted color and so soft to the touch! I much prefer this natural fabric to the micro fleece products which can be soft, but just feel, well, for lack of a better word...artificial. I'm so impressed with the softness of bamboo! I also love the luxurious look of the fabric. It has a gorgeous sheen to it that is noticeable in the photo and delivers in person. It drapes beautifully and is perfect for covering my legs in my recliner or while sitting at my computer. I'm am extremely pleased with the quality I received for just $17.99! Great value, beautiful to look at and soooo soft to the touch
***Update*** 6/4/08: My throw is still holding up beautifully,and since Amazon has dropped the price almost $8, I've ordered another one for me, one for my mom and one for my grandma. A great value (just be aware they are not machine washable!)

This bamboo throw is a bargain! Check it out, Pottery Barn and West Elm are selling the SAME EXACT throw for $59.99! I know because I've already purchased four of them from Pottery Barn for that price and I just received my blankets from Amazon today and am quite pleased that they are in fact the same exact blanket!! (You can only get the taupe from Amazon). I purchased mine for $19.99, from Amazon and with free shipping, I noticed that the price has gone up up a bit since. This is a wonderfully soft and warm blanket that you will love to wrap around you. It has a nice weight and just a great texture. Tall people may find it too small but then again it is a throw blanket.

I bought these on a whim when they were on a Gold Box deal a month ago for $14.99. What a steal! These are just the right weight, not too thin, not too thick. Soft as a kitten's ear! Really a nice size to use when curled up in front of the TV or with a book. I got the red, which is a beautiful rich hue, plus several of the taupe (for housewarming and wedding gifts). I love them all!

My husband loves it, I love it and we leave it on the couch at night since our cats apparently love it more ! But do choose your color wisely. I purchased the cream one and it looks old very soon. I think the red might be a better option since the throw material has a sheen, which makes it looks like a stylish accessory rather than a dull blanket. It is surprizingly warm and cozy for the the lightweight look and feel.
