Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
These innovative reading glasses fold up for your convenience. The frames fold in toward the temples and again at the bridge of the nose tucking away into a small 3 inches in length. You will never be caught again trying to read a price tag at a department store or a restaurant menu without your glasses. They easily stow away into a small protective case equipped with a magnetic snap and spring clip for securing to a purse strap or belt loop. Their small size is not only suitable for travel, but also tasteful and stylish.

5 out of 5 stars sturdy & functional   July 24, 2008

For a review of a smaller, more upscale and elegant, but more costly pair of reading glasses, check my review of Microvision's folding reading glasses, which I also own. (Folding Vision Reading Glasses)

These are my everyday glasses - ones I can afford to break or lose. I regard that as inevitable, over time. I actually have two pair, one suitable for computer work, the other for reading, which I do at different reading distances.

Because I need reading lenses for only one of my eyes, I remove the left lense of my non-prescription reading glasses like these. This is sufficiently difficult that on the last pair I bought, I had to take them to a jeweler to get it done. Usually I can manage it myself with an eyeglass tool. Eventually, the jeweler had to break the lense to get it out.

The glasses, when folded, measure 3" x 1" x .75" The case (not taking into account the belt clip) is 3" x 1.5" x 1", which is unfortunately a bit large for a man's pocket, unless perhaps you remove the clip, but fine for a purse. The clip is sturdy and should fit belts up to 1.5" wide easily. The clip adds another .25" to the measurements above. Personally, I tend not to like belt clips, but this case is unobtrusive, easy to use, and the belt clip seems well-designed. The magnetic fastener seems like it should hold well over time, & is sufficiently strong that it will not inadvertently come open. Nor does the case press into my side when I sit down.

The glasses really aren't very hard to fold, though you have to pay attention while you fold them. They are pretty sturdy, compared to similar ones I used to be able to find at Walgreens or Osco, and it seems to me that the nose pads should not come off as easily as on those. The design of the lense portion is rectangular. I would think them suitable for a man or a woman.

Really, really nice readers. Sturdy but stylish, very little and handy case (it has the place for a cleaning cloth to carry with the readers). Very good for the price! Recommended!

The folding glasses are great! I love the clip-on case they come in and the compactness of the item. They are great for hiking and going to amusement parks which I do alot of both. Awesome product!

5 out of 5 stars Folding Reading Glasses   September 24, 2008
Well made glasses with seemingly tough folding mechanism. Convenient case, but too large for double duty to carry in man's pocket. I am pleased with the whole transaction.

5 out of 5 stars Folding glasses that fit   November 2, 2008
I've gone through a series of folding glasses, and these are really comfortable. They fit nearly as well as standard glasses and far better than any other pair of folding glasses I've tried.

One of the nose pads came off a first pair purchased within two weeks, but I had no problems with the replacement pair sent. The belt clip is a real convenience and the case seems durable.

Unfolding and folding is awkward at first as others have noted, but not an issue once you get the hang of it. Recommend highly.
